"Hokudai Gagome" is a trademarked brand gagome kelp of Hokkaido University (Hokudai). It is cultivated by a unique aquafarming method, and is very rich in Fucoidan (water-soluble fiber). Gagome konbu is a seaweed that occurs in coastal waters in southern Hokkaido. Gagome konbu is rich in fucoidan and alginate, which are water solube, polysaccharides that have many health benefits.
